Calculating percents can be hard for lots of students. That's why I offer you some fun exercises that show the students how fun it can be to learn about percents while they pretend to work at a restaurant. These activities will show the students how useful mathematics can be in reel life. This product contains two activities, one of which will ask the student to calculate the price of different clients order with and without the sales tax while the other will ask them to determine how much money

Experience

I've been teaching for more than 15 years. At first, I was teaching in middle school and high school. After a few years, I've decided to try in an adult education center while making teaching tools. Now I've decided to share what I made with the world!

Teaching style

I've always tried to make teaching fun and interactive. I usually integrate a lot of team activities and games into my planning. I've even used a few video games to teach sciences and mathematics notions.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I've received an award from the ministry of education of Québec building a new class that helps young adults find work has cook assistant. I've also been mandated to build new end of terms exams to be used by all the teachers in my region.

My own education history

I have a baccalaureate in chemistry and two masters. One in pedagogy and the other in general education.

Additional biographical information

I have always love to teach. While I was in High School, I was forming a mathematics study group at the library where I helped my classmates who were struggling in the classroom. After High School, I worked as a private tutor until was ready to teach my own class in High School.
