This game can be used to help your students understand place value. Students will select a number card and then demonstrate that number using base ten blocks. Students will then move their marker on a game board in a race to the finish line. Number cards are included up to 120.

Use this as an activity or independent center. Students will practice reading words from 5 of the most popular short a word families (-at, -an, -ap, -am, and -ad). Then they will sort them into the correct word family tree.
This chart can be used to record a student's growth in fluency over a period of nine weeks. First, select a passage to have the student read. Then, allow the student to read for one minute. Determine how many words the student was able to read correctly during that span. Record the score by making a dot on the chart.
