About the store
I have taught at the elementary level for more than 20 years in a high needs area. Students love you for being their rock and depend on you because their needs are great. But that also means that they are still children who are curious, excitable, and love learning.
I am currently teaching kindergarten but I've also taught first, third, fourth, and fifth. I love the joy found in teaching the littles. I also enjoy creating learning tools and games for my students because the joy of teaching is seeing them need you less.

Exponents Level 1 Spiral Card Game
Spiral Card Game
Learning is always better when it is fun.
Otherwise known as "I have...Who has?"
Starting with the start card, students must match the repeated multiplication to its exponent. This game also gives the opportunity to practice the language (ie. eight to the fourth power, six squared). They must match their question card to another's answer card in order to link the cards like dominoes. The game cards can be laid in a line or in a spiral shape.

Division with Variables War
WAR!
Each student lays down a card. Whoever has the higher value wins the cards.
Here is a set of WAR cards to promote basic number sense through comparing numbers while also having students practice previously learned skills.
This set is focuses on simple division with variables on cute Halloween cards. The division facts themselves are mostly 4’s, 6’s, 7’s, and 8’s since students have a harder time memorizing these facts and can use some more repetition.

My own education history
I graduated from University of California, Davis with a BA in Religious Studies and a minor in Human Development. Then I received my multiple subject teaching credential from California State University, Sacramento focusing on bilingual and multicultural education.
Since I am in a low performing high poverty school, I have received countless hours of professional development including balanced literacy, common core, and writing instruction.
