This learning plan allows the student to assess their own prior knowledge before the lab and learning acquired after the laboratory activity.
Each standard is put into student-friendly I can statements and have correlations to the New York State Living Environment Core.
In this hands-on lab the students use their own hands to model the actions of enzymes at different temperatures. This is a great laboratory activity to introduce enzymes to students.
The students use their own hands to represent enzymes that need to flip over pennies, they then use masking tape to simulate the denaturing that occurs at different temperatures.
The students will record and graph their own data and answer some analysis questions to tie together the new info ration from the beginn
This is a science laboratory activity that can be used in any classroom K-12. It can be customized for your individual classroom to match the laboratory equipment that you may have.
The students will find the laboratory equipment and paste small icons onto a map of the classroom. Each icon is colored by the student in order to make grading of the lab very easy.
