This pre-assessment is meant to be given within the first week of school as you’re getting to know your students. The pre-assessment is six pages long and can be given all at once or divided into parts as needed. It covers all five of the third grade Common Core math areas (as seen below) in order to identify what your students remember from third grade or what they need to work on. Not every single standard is covered, but essential math skills taught in each area. This pre-assessment covers: •

This multiplication facts assessment quizzes students on all math facts from 0 through 10. Students fill in the table within a specific time frame (usually at least 12 minutes) to see how solid their facts are. Answer Key included!
