This packet was created to help learners map out their ideas in regard to where they live starting from their home all the way to their country. Students can make drawings, write information, & decorate. The packet is great for a kindergarten or first grade unit aligned with Massachusetts standards for social studies/geography. It is created to be a piece of a unit plan based on locations.

This booklet was created to help students research and learn about various landforms as aligned by the common core standards for the first grade geography standard regarding landforms. This packet has definitions of all of the landforms required by the standard to learn as well as space to write notes about or make drawings of these different landforms. This worksheet is intended to be printed out and then the sight words should be written in the blank box using white crayon. Then, the children will use a marker to color over the "hidden" sight words written in crayon. The words will appear and the students can then write the word on the line below. It puts a fun spin on learning and writing new words!

This worksheet helps assess whether or not students fully understand the concept of defining and non-defining attributes of shapes.
