About the store
About the Author I am an experienced Computer Science teacher and educational resource creator with a passion for making complex concepts easier to understand. Over the years, I have worked with students of different abilities and backgrounds, helping them develop confidence, independence, and success in Computer Science. My teaching philosophy is built around a simple idea: students learn best when they actively engage with learning rather than passively receive information. Too often, Computer Science is presented as a collection of facts to memorise. I believe students achieve far better outcomes when they can explore concepts, interact with ideas, practise skills, and receive meaningful feedback throughout the learning process. This belief led to the creation of FutureLogic Education, an interactive learning platform designed to support Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science students. The platform combines structured learning, visual explanations, interactive activities, exam-focused practice, and mastery-based progression to help students build both understanding and confidence. My goal is not simply to help students pass examinations, but to help them become independent learners who understand how technology works and can approach new challenges with curiosity and confidence. When creating resources, I focus on clarity, accuracy, and accessibility. Every lesson is designed to scaffold learning carefully, break down difficult concepts into manageable steps, and provide opportunities for students to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. I continue to develop resources, interactive trainers, and learning experiences that make Computer Science more engaging, more approachable, and ultimately more successful for learners around the world.

About the Author I am an experienced Computer Science teacher and educational resource creator with a passion for making complex concepts easier to understand. Teaching style

My teaching style combines structured scaffolding, interactive learning, and exam-focused practice. I believe students learn best when complex concepts are broken into manageable steps and supported through visual explanations, guided activities, and opportunities for independent practice. Rather than relying solely on memorisation, I encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of concepts through exploration, discussion, and application. My resources are designed to build confidence gradually, allowing learners to progress from foundational knowledge to exam readiness. I am particularly passionate about making Computer Science accessible to all learners. Through clear explanations, interactive activities, and carefully sequenced learning experiences, I aim to help students become independent, confident problem-solvers who can apply their knowledge both in examinations and beyond the classroom.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Awards, Achievements and Highlights Throughout my teaching career, I have been committed to helping students achieve their full potential in Computer Science and related technology subjects. My students have consistently achieved strong examination outcomes, including over 60% of IGCSE students achieving grades A*–A and a 100% pass rate at grades A*–C. In the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, my students have also achieved outstanding results, including multiple top-grade performances, with four students achieving a grade 7 and three students achieving grade 6 in a recent examination series. Beyond the classroom, I have supported students in developing creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills through technology competitions and project-based learning. One particular highlight was leading a student team to victory in the LEGO Future Innovators Championship in Asia in 2017. These experiences have reinforced my belief that students achieve their best when learning is engaging, challenging, and supported by clear guidance. They continue to inspire the development of the interactive and student-focused resources that form the foundation of FutureLogic Education.

My own education history

Education and Professional Background I am a qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE in ICT, with over 25 years of teaching experience across Computer Science, ICT, Design Technology, STEM, and Robotics in both the United Kingdom and international schools across Asia. Throughout my career, I have taught a range of internationally recognised curricula, including Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science, IB Computer Science, AP Computer Science Principles, and AP Computer Science A. I have also held leadership positions including Head of Computer Science and Head of ICT, where I have developed programmes of study, introduced new curricula, and supported students in achieving excellent academic outcomes. Alongside classroom teaching, I have a strong interest in STEM education, robotics, makerspaces, and project-based learning. I have led robotics teams, developed makerspaces and fabrication laboratories, coordinated technology competitions, and helped students apply computational thinking to real-world challenges. My students have achieved consistently strong examination results, including over 60% achieving A*–A grades at IGCSE and a 100% A*–C pass rate. I have also guided students to success in international STEM competitions, including championship-winning robotics and innovation projects. These experiences have shaped my teaching philosophy and inspired the creation of FutureLogic Education, an interactive learning platform designed to make Computer Science more engaging, accessible, and effective for learners around the world.

Additional biographical information

In addition to my work as a teacher, I have always been passionate about technology, innovation, and creating meaningful learning experiences for students. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed developing new curricula, leading STEM and robotics initiatives, and helping students apply their learning to real-world challenges. I am particularly interested in computational thinking, educational technology, project-based learning, and the use of interactive resources to improve student engagement and understanding. These interests inspired the creation of FutureLogic Education, a platform designed to make Computer Science learning more accessible, interactive, and enjoyable for students worldwide. Over the years, I have worked with learners from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities, which has reinforced my belief that every student can succeed when learning is structured, engaging, and supported appropriately. Whether in the classroom, through robotics competitions, or via online learning resources, my goal has always been to help students build confidence, curiosity, and a genuine understanding of technology. When I am not creating educational resources, I continue to explore emerging technologies, STEM education, and innovative ways to bring learning to life for students.
