About the store

Experience

I’m a certified high school science and special educator from New York with 15 years of classroom experience, specializing in NGSS and NYSSLS-aligned instruction. I’ve taught in both general education and special education settings, and I design all my resources to meet the needs of diverse learners, including scaffolded supports, real-world case studies, and accessibility tools for ELL and IEP students.

Teaching style

My approach blends inquiry-based learning with grounded structure. I believe in student-driven discovery, but I never leave them without a roadmap. I’m big on using visual organizers, simulations, and real-life data to help students connect the dots. No matter the topic, I aim to make science relevant, rigorous, and accessible for students of all levels.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’ve had students win district-wide science fair awards, present at local green energy summits, and even apply to NASA internships. One of my proudest moments? Watching a student with a learning disability give a confident presentation using the scaffolded blueprint I created, proving that the right tools unlock brilliance in every learner.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor's in environmental science and a Master's in adolescent education. As my career evolved, I completed the post-Master's coursework required to obtain additional certifications to teach students with disabilities, English language learners, and school building/district administration.
