Seasonal activity to reinforce concepts learned through Unit 6 of Level 1 Fundations. Students decide if words with suffixes end with the /z/ sound or the /s/ sound. They also must identify words that end in -s but do not have a suffix.

Students use the key to color in the picture deciding if the spaces contain the "who" of the sentence, the "what's happening", is a complete sentence or is just a bunch of mixed up words.

Give your students practice editing sentences while learning about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

This is one of my students' favorite activities! Each child takes a clipboard and a recording sheet and goes out into the hallway trying to find digraphs hidden in the words they see. I use this as a reinforcement activity for my Wilson Fundations lessons on digraphs. It would also make a great literacy center.
