The Story of Cincinnatus - Choose your Own Adventure

A great way to have your students learn about Cincinnatus, ancient Roman Dictator, who set the standard for Civic Duty. Admired by George Washington, this Choose your Own Adventure Story is a great way for students to see how Cincinnatus made the right choices both for Rome and himself. When you purchase - send me an email and I will send you a bonus activity for your students to complete.

Experience

18 Years in the middle school classroom, iPad pilot for our district, currently teaching two undergraduate classes on Technology, Developed a Hunter Gatherer Simulation, CSI Training Manual Series, Adventure Ancient Greece, Rome: Rising Emperor, The Quest for the Rose, The Legend of the Lost Aquila, Roman Legion Breakout, Mixed Up Philosophers Breakout.

Teaching style

I love using Game Based Learning! It allows students to investigate, inquire, and most importantly for them to make mistakes! These opportunities help our students see that through the process of making mistakes and then correcting them in order to try again! Games allow our students to become immersed and engaged in our classrooms. It doesn't get much better then that! We need to teach our students about the thinking process as we teach our content. I hope that the resources I have developed help you to do the same.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have spoken at a university conference on social studies regarding game based learning for the past four years. Published the CSI: Training Manual on the Apple Books store.
