Teaching style

Student Centered Learning is important to me. Placing the students at the center of their learning process by recognizing their individual strengths, needs, interests, and experiences. Instruction designed to meet each child where they are academically, socially, and emotionally, thus allowing learning to be meaningful and accessible.

She consistently goes above and beyond to support and organize students, fostering teamwork, accountability, and school pride. Through her leadership of student engagement and spirit initiatives, she has helped build a more connected, energetic, and inclusive campus environment. Her dedication, advocacy for students, and commitment to positive cultural change have made a lasting difference in the school community.

My own education history

Melissa graduated from SNHU with a degree in Human Services and is certified in EC-12 Special Education. While in college Melissa was recognized with National Society Of Leadership and Success.

Additional biographical information

Melissa relocated from Nebraska to Texas, where she has built a strong foundation rooted in family, education, and community. Melissa has been married to her husband for 12 years. She is the proud mother of two children. Her daughter graduated high school with Distinguished Honors, ranking in the top 8% of her class, and is currently pursuing her college education. Her son is a senior student-athlete who excels both academically and athletically, lettering in academics, football, and wrestling, while also serving as president of two student organizations and actively participating in multiple campus clubs.
