Teaching style
I believe in the value of gamification. Gamification of content and skills provide the opportunity for all of the following: critical thinking through problem solving, chunking of content for proper cognitive load, immediate feedback, differentiated/different-paced learning, small group collaboration, positive socialization through low stakes competition, the contextualization of history, and most importantly, a FUN learning experience that is both intrinsically and extrinsically motivating.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education from Wake Forest University and my master’s in Educational Psychology from George Mason University.
