About the store

Experience

I teach 7th and 8th grade science in Sothern Arizona, where our content covers a broad spectrum of topics within physical and life sciences. I enjoy creating digital supports for my classroom using a personalized/ structured learning approach and implementing elements of the "modern classrooms project" and the "flipped classroom" instructional models.

Teaching style

My teaching style reflects my love of science; by using phenomena based science lessons and hands on project incentives I strive to create an environment where exploration and creativity are cultivated. The personalized learning aspect is very student centered in my classroom with frequent knowledge checkpoints and mastery checks with students gaining points for personal achievement of goals.

My own education history

I obtained my undergraduate degrees from Arizona State University in science and history and began my career in agricultural sciences. I have since graduated from the University of Arizona with my Masters in Education.

Additional biographical information

I am a technology, space and game nerd and it is reflected in my classroom and LPs.
