Exponent Equation Sort | Multiplying & Dividing Exponents with Like Bases

Exponent Equation Sort is a hands-on, low-prep activity designed to help students master multiplying and dividing exponents with the same base. Students are given a set of exponent cards and challenged to arrange them into correct multiplication and division equations, promoting conceptual understanding, collaboration, and mathematical reasoning. This activity moves beyond worksheets by requiring students to apply exponent rules, justify their thinking, and recognize structure in expressions.
