I use them in 7th grade world history and they are a huge hit! Couple things: Monday you need to come up with a question based on what you are studying and students can answer it at any time during the week, Weekly check in I make optional (and usually all students do it) and I learn A LOT about my students based on this, and finally come up with random clues for different countries and let students answer it for extra credit. Enjoy!
AMAZING end of the year project. Students build their country from scratch. Every part of the project is done in tasks. It is all editable so you can make the project last 3 weeks or cut down to just 1. We like to end the project with an end of the year WAR game. Students attack other countries, use nuclear bombs all in the name of world domination! For the WAR game just go through a textbook and pick out review questions.
Using a tournament bracket, rank the problems in the Roman Empire and decide which one "wins" and is the worst problem for the Romans. Turn it into a simulation and have students hold signs with the problems and act a real life bracket. while a few students are telling them who loses and who advances. This bracket fits into the composition books.
Pages all fit composition notebooks perfectly. Fill in chart with the information related to the solutions that different emperors came up with for the Roman Empire.
