This is my 25th year in education, mostly teaching high school mathematics and science, but I have also taught middle school and post secondary plus directed an education grant. Experience
This is my 25th year in education, mostly teaching high school mathematics and science, but I have also taught middle school and post secondary plus directed an education grant. This is also my 15th year at Estes Park High School, where I teach Algebra 2, Honors Algebra 2, Physics, AP Physics, College Statistics, and College Algebra.
Teaching style
I integrate math and science together as much as I can. Labs in math classes help students make connections and learn better.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I have participated in Research Experience for Teachers (RET) at Cornell University and Academy Creating Teacher Scientists (ACTS) program at Princeton. I also presented at National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and American Association of Physics Teachers national conferences.

Graduated from Riceville High School in Iowa.

I coach boys and girls middle school and high school basketball. I enjoy hiking in the mountains and attending math and science conferences.
