About the store

Experience

This is my 25th year in education, mostly teaching high school mathematics and science, but I have also taught middle school and post secondary plus directed an education grant. This is also my 15th year at Estes Park High School, where I teach Algebra 2, Honors Algebra 2, Physics, AP Physics, College Statistics, and College Algebra.

Teaching style

I integrate math and science together as much as I can. Labs in math classes help students make connections and learn better.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have participated in Research Experience for Teachers (RET) at Cornell University and Academy Creating Teacher Scientists (ACTS) program at Princeton. I also presented at National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and American Association of Physics Teachers national conferences.

Graduated from Riceville High School in Iowa. BS in Mathematics and Physical Science from Winona State University (MN) MA in Mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado

I coach boys and girls middle school and high school basketball. I enjoy hiking in the mountains and attending math and science conferences.
