About the store
I have been an elementary educator for over 16 years, with the majority of my experience spent in 3rd grade, where I taught for 11 years. I also spent 3 years teaching 2nd grade and 2 years in 4th grade, allowing me to develop a strong understanding of early literacy development and upper-elementary comprehension skills. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about helping students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers. I’m currently pursuing my Master of Library Science (MLS) degree to transition into a Media Coordinator role, where I can continue to support student learning, foster a love of reading, and collaborate with teachers across grade levels.

Experience

Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centered, engaging, and rooted in the belief that every child can grow with the right support and encouragement. I strive to create a warm and structured classroom where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and think critically. I use a balance of direct instruction, hands-on learning, and meaningful discussions to keep students actively involved in their own learning. Whether we’re diving into a new text or exploring a real-world problem, I aim to make learning relevant, joyful, and accessible for all learners.
