About the store
I am currently in my 6th year of teaching (primary/elementary school) and in that time I have taught in a varied mix of schools and systems. Trained in Australia, my first teaching position was in a remote school that used the American 'Direct Instruction' method, teaching a range of students from Grade 1 to Grade 6 in my two years there. After completing my two years remote service I moved to a rural school, teaching Australia's national curriculum for a year. Due to my partner's visa situation, we relocated to West Yorkshire, England for the following two years, where I also worked as a primary school teacher - a mix of supply, long term supply and maternity contracts. Returning to Australia, I have returned to my previous position in a Grade 6 class - which I just love! My kids are amazing, and the content is right up my alley. Prior to becoming a primary school teacher, I studied political science and volunteered as an ESL teacher, working with both child and adult refugees and international students.

I laminated this product for repeated use – my students have not been able to get enough of this game! Students take turns rolling to get a score between 1-6. Students record this both in the tens frame and also on th

Teaching style

I have a 'bouncy' teaching style (according to my boss). While I use explicit teaching methods to introduce new content in the key learning areas of maths and english, I utilise a range of hands on and engaging learning experiences to cement my students' understanding of the content.
