This is a **Printable File** of the actual published version of Linkage: A DNA Card Game, which is a genetics based card game about copying DNA into RNA.
In Linkage, each player links RNA cards side-by-side to build their own RNA strand, attempting to copy the shared DNA Template (in biology, this process of copying is called DNA Transcription). In this game, players compete to build organelles (the building blocks of a cell) by utilizing the macro-molecules (proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids) and energy (in the form of ATP) made available throughout the game.

I have taught college level chemistry for years and tutored high school and middle biology and chemistry since I was in high school myself. I love teaching and watching students grasp new concepts that they previous thought were too difficult.
Teaching style
I mostly enjoy using the Socratic method to teach, and in the process showing students that they currently possess the skills to teach themselves. I once had a students tell me, "I was going to ask you for help but I couldn't find you. I I just asked myself the same questions that would have asked me, and led myself through the same process, and as a result, taught myself what I was going to ask you." This was one on the proudest moments of career!

Additional biographical information
I am a St. Louis native and love my hometown. I grew up in Ballwin, MO and went to Marquette High School where I caused a lot of mischief. I joined the Army as a Military Police officer when I was seventeen and spent three and half years on active duty and another four and a half years in the reserves. I spent most of my time at Ft. Polk, Louisiana, Ft. Eustis, Virginia as well as Samarra and Mosul, Iraq and aided in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. While in the reserves I took classes at St. Louis Community College and was selected to give the commencement speech for the 2007 graduation ceremony. I received the Elizabeth Grey Danforth scholarship, a two year full tuition scholarship, to attend Washington University in St. Louis where I completed my undergraduate degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Biology. I went on at Washington University to complete my Master’s Degree in Energy, Environmental, and Chemical Engineering. Alongside graduate school, I worked as an engineer at Abengoa Bioenergy. After graduate school I started to teach General Chemistry at St. Louis Community College while I worked as a Water/Wastewater Engineer at HDR Engineering until this past fall.
Now I teach and design games that teach topics in the science. And I love it!
