Smart Board mini lesson with vocabulary explaining the difference between an expression and equation, a chart where you can elicit different math vocabulary words for adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, and equals, sentences in which students have to translate the sentence into an algebraic expression, and word problems in which students have to define variables and write an equation to represent the situation.

My basic teaching style is a Do Now, Homework Review, an interactive mini lesson, and then a fun activity to solidify the concepts in the students' minds.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting along with a minor in Mathematics, a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics Education with a Specialty in Grades 5-9, and a Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership.
