I am currently a student. I spent one semester in field teaching 5th grade mathematics, tutoring 1st graders in reading and tutoring kindergartners in math and reading. Now, I work with 2nd graders twice weekly.

This is a smart board presentation over the multiples and multiplication word problems. The lesson teaches students a technique they can use to multiply 6-10 with their fingers. The lesson was originally given to a 5th grade math class. The class was first given a multiplication quiz, then the lesson, then tested after. The class did much better on their facts after the lesson!
This is a house template to use after reading "The Little House". Children will color the house as they wish then cut out the eyes and mouth. They will speak as if they were the house, discussing how they feel when the house is surrounded by the city and how they feel when they are in the country.
This is a 27 page file that is a Christmas coloring book and dictionary. Each letter of the alphabet has one corresponding Christmas picture to color. It would be great to keep kids busy while making Christmas crafts!
This is a simple animal report. Students can draw a picture or print and glue a picture to the large rectangle then write about what their animal likes to eat, where they live, etc.
Use this to teach synonyms. Students write synonyms to each color of their rainbow. For example, on the red stripe, students could write crimson, cherry, brick, etc. Then, they color the stripe that color.
Easter book for beginning readers. Dots help kids follow along with words. Have child write in the blanks with: I see Easter by their name. I see a bunny... I see candy, etc.
