I use these sheets for math journals. Each student has a different problem to work out each day. You can also give the whole class the same question or journal prompt each day. The students have to illustrate their work 2 different ways, and they have to explain their work by writing. I will add more journal prompts as soon as possible. Keep checking. :)

These activities go with the literature book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There are so many activities that include sheets for creating/inventing candy and wallpaper, comparing characters, connection sheets to help students connect themselves to the book, character maps, story maps, recall and remember sheets, prediction sheets, checklists, and much more.

These are journal prompts for students that cover 2nd grade math standards like addition using expanded notation, place value, and representing numberes numerous ways. The standards are written at the top of each page in kid friendly terms. I have included two different cover sheets, two different fonts, and two different rubric layouts for Kindergarten CCSS Math standards. This resource has both "I CAN" standards and "THE STUDENT IS ABLE TO." Please keep checking back for other subjects and grade levels.

The students will be able to represent a numeral using a number line. The mission of the game is to have the most apples on the number line. Each student picks a card and represents that number of apples on their number line. The two players then record the winner under each number line. By recording the winner, the teacher is able to determine whether or not the players understand the concepts of less and more.

These weather graphs alternate from a bar graph to a picture graph. All months include a tally chart and writing portion of the task. My students love when we get to the weather portion of the day. I have included a sheet for every month with a self-assessment/checklist and one for every month without a self-assessment/checklist.

These word problems require students to compare, add, and take away to answer word problems. There is an illustration portion to this as well as creating equation(s) for each word problem. This activity includes a writing section as well.

I have included graphic organizer character maps of Dorothy, the Tinman, the Scarecrow,Glenda, the Wicked Witch, and the Lion. I blew these pages up on a poster maker and posted them in my room after my class helped me complete them. My students used the character maps to help them fill in facts about each character before writing about their favorite character.

These journal prompts cover measuring objects and time word problems where students have to illustrate and compare. There are journal prompts for free on my TPT store that can be cut and pasted into a notebook type journal that match these journal prompts.

I have two individual sets of task cards using ten frames. Each set has 30 cards. These cards can be used like "Scoot" task cards. I have three different recording sheets depending on the number of students you have. The first recording sheet is 1-15. The second is 1-20, and the last is 1-30. To use the cards this way you would need to put one card on each desk. Allow the students a few mins at each problem, and say "Scoot" to have them rotate around to all questions. This activity was designed for 1st grade. The students have to roll a die and show the number two ways in the box provided. Then the students have to show a number less than and a number more than the number rolled. These two numbers also have to be represented two different ways. You could also do this activity asking the students to only show one way to make each number.

These activities are designed to be used with the book 'Freckle Juice' by Judy Blume. They included serveral Venn Diagrams and graphic organizers to compare the characters as well as Venn Diagrams to compre this book to other books. It also includes problem and solution pages, prediction pages, checklists for students to evaluate themselves, writing activities, and much more. It is well worth the price, and my students love creating their own freckle juice and recipes as well.
