Board game dealing with the Political Machines of the 1920's. Students will move along the board experiencing some of the tactics used by Political Machines in order to influence politics.
Complete lesson with intro activity. Students will be broken into groups and will review a scenario that played out during the Cold War. Students will have questions to answer as they act out their scenario for the class.
The Basics of Geography quiz tests students on continents, latitude/longitude, directions, and types of maps. It could be used as a summative or pre-assessment.

Enlightenment Presentation highlights the ideas and contributions of Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Voltaire and Jean Jacques Rousseau. Presentation offers their contributions to U.S. politics. Presentation also contains "stop and checks" for review and unpack time.
Students will read a simple breakdown of the sections of the Constitution that will assist them in defining vocabulary words like federalism, limited government, checks and balances, etc.
