About the store

I have been creating art since I was able to hold a pencil. From an early age I accompanied my father in his woodshop, and grew up to earn a bachelors in Art Studio and a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I've been working with children in education since I was 16 through arts camps. Now at the age of 34, I'm able to combine all my art skills as well as my knowledge of education as an Elementary School teacher and Arts Integration Team Leader.

Navajo weaving lesson

Students will learn the history and culture behind traditional Navajo Chief style blankets. Through the use of visuals, students will identify the progression in style the Navajo people developed during the first stages of weaving. Students will then learn how to use a cardboard loom to create their own weaving, applying styles and techniques observed in the Navajo Chief Blankets.
