High School: Shelbyville High School (Shelbyville, Indiana), graduated with honors. Undergraduate: Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana), double major in general and special education, K-6 Graduate: Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), graduate degree in the Teaching of Biological Sciences Currently hold a Pre-K through 5 Ohio State teaching license.

Additional biographical information

Science education has become a large part of my life, not just via classroom teaching, but in other arenas as well. I have worked in the education department at the Cincinnati Zoo, as well as for a local "edutainment" company called Mad Science. My graduate degree thesis focuses on connected children and young adults with the natural world around them.
