This fun power point teachers through words and videos about Ancient Greek Olympics. It includes fun activities to allow kids to simulate the games including a thumb wrestling match where kids oil their thumbs (as the Greeks oiled their bodies). Look for my free webquest Ancient Greek Olympic Webquest to use with this power point (optional). Be sure to change the name to your name for your class Olympics!

This power point includes descriptions of many of the Greek creatures. It includes a few activities including etymology (prefixes/roots/suffixes). It is highly engaging and fun. If you email me, I will send you a word document to go along with it to help with the etymology game or download the free Etymology Monster project that I uploaded.

This packet connects your thematic unit on Ancient Egypt with the importance of Greek and Latin roots. For example, the root "scrib," means to write. A scribe was a learned man who wrote things as a job. Students learn new vocabulary in context with the theme.

This booklet combines materials I found on the web in an organized manner along with questions I added to help students with comprehension.
