This 3 week gifted and talented unit is designed to teach research skills and the creative process. Students are guided through the steps of the creative process--preparation, incubation, illumination, evaluation, verification. Students are encouraged to think out of the box and apply creative and critical thinking skills. This unit is designed for elementary students in a GT classroom, but could be used in any elementary classroom. It includes a student packet and teacher packet.

This fun creative thinking activity challenges students to think outside of the box. It reinforces the concepts of fluent and flexible thinking. It is designed for Kinder or 1st grade students, but could be adapted for 2nd or 3rd. Lesson time is between 30-45 minutes.
