About the store
With 27 years of being an educator, I have experience with pre-k, kindergarten, first, and second grade. I have been a literacy coach and host classroom for ESOL, SPED, and EIP. My current role is the reading and math EIP teacher grades K-2. I have my Dyslexia Endorsement, Master's in Reading, and Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently in the Meaningful Mentorship for Orton-Gillingham certification.

This bundle has everything you need to teach the littles how to decode big words. Once kids have solid letter sound under control and know how to blend sounds together, they are able to tackle bigger words. These lessons teach open and closed syllables, rabbit, tiger, camel, reptile, hornet, turtle, and vowel team word decoding. The magic e lessons include student recording sheet and teacher page with words. Students first copy, cover, close the new magic e pattern. Then they highlight the new pattern and read the new set of words. Finally, the teacher calls new magic e pattern words and the student taps and writes the sounds. This is great for small group practice. The pages can be printed two to a page to fit in notebooks.

Teaching style

I believe students need explicit, direct instruction that incorporates multi-sensory activities! Not big on worksheets but big on resources that can serve students in many ways!

My own education history

I have a Master's in Reading and a specialist in curriculum and instruction. I have currently received my Dyslexia Endorsement as well as my Teacher Support Specialist and Coach. I have been trained in Orton-Gillingham but learning more each day! I enjoy making learning fun and multi-sensory for ALL!
