Teaching style

I love hands-on learning! Sharing evidence-based information in a format that's easy-to-understand is my passion. I love helping people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities learn the skills they need to improve their quality of life.

My own education history

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in public health nutrition with a secondary major in gerontology and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Kansas State University.

Additional biographical information

I live in Kansas, the Sunflower State! I have been teaching children, adults and families for more than 15 years and love helping others learn. When I am not in the classroom, I love reading, cooking, walking, gardening and spending time with my family.
