Teaching style
I have over 10 years of experience in the classroom, in a variety of grade levels and positions. Currently, I'm a special education inclusion teacher working with upper elementary students. Hands on and interactive learning is ALWAYS my go-to teaching style. I strongly believe in utilizing the Guided Release of Responsibility Framework for teaching so that my kids are always working towards independence.

I've presented at several PD's for my district. I've been nominated for Teacher of the Year. I've served as a mentor teacher to new special education teachers hired in our district and a mentor teacher to interns at the university teaching program.

Behind the Scenes of Giraffic Jam: When not immersed in a good book, you can find me sipping on Diet Dr. Pepper and planning my next mountain vacation or camping trip. Regardless of where I'm going or what I'm doing, there's a really good chance my two dogs and my husband are by my side. In my spare time, I enjoy creating decor with my laser cutter. Oh, binge watching TV? Yes, please.
