In my senior year of highschool, I did an internship teaching in a 2nd-grade classroom. I was there every other day, all day. I was able to teach, prepare lessons, and get a glimpse into how children learn.
As much as I loved teaching, I went to college and discovered my true calling in life, to be a computer scientist. To fund my way through college, I substitute taught in my local school district. I graduated in Computer Science with a Bachelors degree, and I work full time as a software developer.
My love for teaching has not gone away, and I substitute teach about once a week still.
I hope to bring my industry experience and teach children the powerful tools of coding and computers.
Code is the language of the future, I hope we can begin teaching children this powerful language sooner.
