Experience

Hey there! 👋 I’m Lauren Glass, a pediatric speech-language pathologist and the creator behind Glass Speech Therapy. I’m a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with 8 years of experience supporting children of all ages and abilities. I’ve worked in early intervention and private practice settings, with a focus on pediatric language development, autism, speech sound disorders, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). I specialize in making neurodiversity-affirming resources that support authentic, meaningful communication.

Teaching style

My approach is play-based, strengths-focused, and grounded in connection. I believe that children thrive when their communication style is respected and supported. Whether I'm working directly with a child or designing a resource, I aim to create materials that empower children to learn and express themselves in ways that feel natural and joyful. I prioritize tools that are functional, affirming, and easy for families and professionals to use.

My own education history

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The Pennsylvania State University and my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from West Chester University. I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing education in areas like AAC, gestalt language processing, and neurodiversity-affirming care.

Additional biographical information

When I’m not creating therapy materials or working with families, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and our dog, diving into DIY projects, or catching up on my favorite reality TV shows (a full time job on its own!).
