Teaching Experience I began my teaching career working with middle schoolers with special needs. I joyfully worked for 12 years until being blessed to be a stay at home momma to 2 special kiddos— some of my greatest joys came from having “Mommy School” together. I have now tiptoed back into the work force teaching preschool to four and five year olds as well as working with homeschool families.

My Teaching Style While in the classroom, or at home with my little ones, I strived to show students that there is something magical about learning new things. If my kiddos asks me why something works the way it does—I leap on that interest and create a science experiment or project to find out more about that particular topic. My middle school students had little to no joy in regard to learning, so I made it my mission to infuse every day with a bit of fun—using M&M's with multiplication, making food into volcanoes, using football stats for computation. My goal with my current four and five year olds is for them to hold on to the joy of learning and be proud as they grow in their abilities
