Hi there!! My name is Tiara and I have been a 1st grade teacher for the past 8 years! I have a bachelors & masters degree in Elementary Education. My favorite grades to teach are k-2. I am LETRS Certified, and Orton Gillingham trained. Teaching style

My teaching style is very hands on & multi-sensory. Any chances to get the students turning and talking and sharing their ideas/thoughts with a peer excite me. I also think it's important for them to learn from their peers and their thinking. I believe that partnering with parents to give them the best strategies to use at home to further help their child is how we attain success for our students.
