My experience has taught me how important vocabulary is for student success on the 6th grade STAAR math test. This bundle contains 66 words with definition, and pictures. All words have been used in previous STAAR test.

This vocabulary game works well as a station, or with an intervention group, or for students who have finished with their work before others. Print and give each student a set, or laminate to keep and use over and over. Fun for the students, and grows academic vocabulary. TEK 6.3D

Promote growth mindset in your students! I use this graphic organizer to encourage my students to generate questions and use estimation/predictions before they solve problems. The students use the notes in writing reflective pieces to describe their process of solving, strategies used and what learning has taken place.
