I use this roadmap at the beginning of Unit 6 to give my APHG students an overview of the unit. The vocabulary isn't comprehensive, but it allows us to start unpacking the standards and discussing what we already know/need to know. I also post this to google classroom so they can use the links to study as needed. They keep track of questions that come up and we refer back to this throughout the unit in order to check in on their questions, studying, vocab, and progress through the "I Can" statem

Students will work independently to research Propaganda during WWI and demonstrate their understanding via a guided slideshow. After they have considered what propaganda is, what it looked like during WWI, and what it looks like today, they will reflect on their opinion of propaganda and consider when and how it should be utilized.

Use this flexible assessment to allow your students to show their understanding of your current unit. You can adjust the group size, due date, topics, etc. to personalize it for your needs. This assignment elicits great conversations as groups justify their color coding and their reason for including each topic. I give my 11th graders one 90-minute block period for this.
