22+ years experience in education with an instructional concentration in pervasive developmental delays, learning disabilities, and students with attention deficit disorders.
Students practice sorting basic shapes (circle, triangle, square, rectangle, hexagon, octagon) according to their shape name, number of sides, or elimination criteria (less than 3 sides, greater than the sides of hexagon, etc.). Shapes are presented in different sizes and colors, allowing primer level students to practice simple visual discrimination. There are a total of 24 shape cards and 18 criteria sorting labels.
