Throughout the course of a month in a novel study, you could have 4 group members participate in each role. The summarizer could be done by each student every week. These games can be used to practice letter names and sounds. You could use this as an assessment tool, in centers, for a "brain break" (game), etc. This will help students learn the sounds in a fun game format. The "shooting star" part could either be used to slide up to the next star or to slide down, whatever you want! You can practice doing this with students first then eventually they can do this on their own or with classmates. I have 6 games in order of when letters should be taught accord
