About the store
I began my teaching career in North Charleston, South Carolina at an arts-infused school right after graduating. I completed my student teaching a school in Columbia, South Carolina. After deciding to pick up and move to Minnesota, I was blown away by how much knowledge you can gain from moving across the country! I am now working at a Title school in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota and love EVERY second of it! My students come from very diverse cultures and speak many different language. I like to think that experience shouldn't be counted using a number a years, but by the richness of your experience. If that were the case, I'd be much higher on the totem pole.

Writing process handout
This product defines each step of the writing process for standardized testing. From dissecting the prompt, to editing for grammar and usage. I have used this with several classes and it works for all three types of writing (expository, opinion and narrative). It is so great because kids only have to memorize ONE graphic organizer, the pillar! This is from the Empowering Writers program and it is directly tied to the posters and worksheets they use.

Have your students record and reflect based on their weekly Wonders test scores! This document was created to be used for each unit. Students will simply circle the unit number at the top then record their test scores in the graph below! Teaching style
I am working towards becoming and ENVoY demonstration teacher. ENVoY is a form of non-verbal management strategies that help to preserve student-teacher-class relationships while maintaining a calm work environment focused on academics for all. I form relationships with my students that are long-lasting because they don't want to learn from you if they don't feel they can trust you! Our classroom is built on mutual respect, kindness and a whole lot of fun!
