About the store
My career began as an ELL teacher for grades 3rd through 5th. I assisted students whose first language was other than English. I remained in this position for 2 years. After this, I was transferred to 1st grade and is the current grade level that I instructs to date. I as well applied and got hired through VIPKID, a company that links the world through education by providing an international learning experience. This allowed me to teach students in China via the internet. I serviced over twenty students on a one to one basis teaching them everything from basic conversational English to reading, writing, and grammar.

My own education history

Hello my name is Debanhi Cantu and I received a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies Bilingual Education EC-6 from The University of Texas Pan American in 2013. I furthered my education with a post graduate Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2016.

Additional biographical information

For the past four years, I have been a sponsor for my school’s dance/cheer team, The Cougarettes. I teach my dance team two to three different dances every year, and they get to perform them at various school, district, and city events.
