I have worked with 3-5 year olds to introduce mixed media art lessons and 80 year olds to express themselves through watercolor media. I currently teach 6th - 8th graders graphic design and illustration basics and host adult classes to create unique illustrations.

Creative Brief Template & Examples
My students love these creative briefs. I wanted a way to introduce simple design concepts to the class so I created a template that features a client, their project and project requirements in a minimal layout. The student is able to create a unique design based on the given criteria much like a real world graphic designer. I've also included a blank template so the teacher can fill in the client name and requirements as needed. It's a great - I need a quick lesson plan today option.

Brainstorming Ideas
One of the basics of any design is learning how to brainstorm ideas. I wanted a simple and appealing way to get my students started so we worked through this sheet together as a group. This template gives a brief description of what to expect during the brainstorming sessions and a sheet to write down gathered ideas. The final sheet is optional but provides thumbnails to sketch out ideas.

Additional biographical information
Amy M. Huber is a designer and illustrator currently living in Los Angeles and operating nationally. Themes of nature, geometric design, and ordinary objects weave throughout Amy’s work. Much of her design has an illustrative flair and a story of motion. She designs environmental, brand, editorial, and digital work.
Her illustration and graphic design clients include the New York Short Film Festival, Apple Support YouTube Channel, Nordstrom, Eddie Bauer, San Fermo, and Zulily, among others. Amy’s art has appeared at Velouria Boutique and Gallery, The Vestibule, True Love Art Gallery and Santa Paula Art Museum.
