Hey there! I’m Caitlin, and I’ve been rocking the teaching world for over 17 years. From Pre K to 8th grade, I’ve had the privilege of working with all kinds of amazing students, and three years ago I dove into the homeschool world. I'm accompanied on this great adventure by a Pre K kiddo and a 2nd grader. We love getting outside and thinking way beyond the box. Before homeschooling, I spent 11 years in the public school system, but my true passion is science education. I’ve trained across the nation, from the Teton Science School to the Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont, soaking up all things place-based learning. I've lectured at Stanford University on the value of Honeybee Education, and I've worked with NASA on connecting students to astronauts aboard the International Space Station. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me on our little homestead, raising ducks, chickens, pigs, and keeping honeybees—because hands-on learning is the best kind of learning!
