I'm lucky to be a military spouse. It has been a blessing and a privilege serving the local communities across the United States and studying under a vast variety of other experienced teachers along the way. I never pass up on an opportunity to learn from those around me; including my students.
I have student-taught first grade (in-person and virtually), co-taught kindergarten, and taught second grade (my favorite so far!). I also spend a fair amount of my summer volunteering at a local camp for individuals with autism.

I have student-taught first grade (in-person and virtually), co-taught kindergarten, and taught second grade (my favorite so far!). I also spend a fair amount of my summer volunteering at a local camp for individuals with autism.
Teaching style
I believe in the power of hands-on learning. Engagement doesn't come from a worksheet. Deep understanding comes from experiences, movement, and involvement within the curriculum.
My favorite moments in teaching are answering student questions about the world and how things work. Some of our best lessons aren't planned, but discovered through students asking good questions!
My own education history
I am a proud graduate of Bloomsburg University! GO HUSKIES!!! I graduated in May of 2020 with my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education and minor in Special Education. Before attending BU, I earned my Associates of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Harrisburg Area Community College in 2017. I am certified to teach PreK-4th grade in a multitude of states. I recently finished my Master's in Reading Education in the summer of 2023.
