This product is an extension for my 4th graders who are being introduced to remainders. I use this PowerPoint over a series of 2 days or 2 periods (skills and then math). Students begin with an review of the concept of division by using the book "The Doorbell Rang" by Pat Hutchins. They then move into dividing with remainders in the second half of the slides. It helps students to make real life connections to division and the parts to a division sentence! Editable reading group board. Included is 6 group circles to write in names or to post on board with names next to it (edit to add more if needed, or take away!). There is also a banner of "we are readers" where each letter in readers can stand for a different activity/station. You can remove letters if needed!
