This resource can be used to teach basic vocabulary: fruits and vegetables (apple, cherries, raspberries, banana, lemon, quince, orange, grapefruit, grapes, lime, pear, kiwi, broccoli, beans, cabbage, celery, cauliflower, garlic, tomato, bell pepper, radish, carrot, pumpkin, corn). This is an easy game that's perfect for math centres. You just need to print, laminate these pages and cut the flashcards. Then you're ready to go!
There are flashcards with 1-10 objects that go with every season, so you can also use them to talk about weather and seasonal signs.
To make it more fun, use a colored rice tray: place the cards in the rice, then the kids will take them out using tweezers.

I prefer the child-centered approach to teaching: children learn better if they actively participate in the learning process, not just by observing what the teacher is doing.

My own education history
I have been a kindergarten teacher for fifteen years and I have worked as an English and class teacher too. I have a bachelor in English and Finnish Philology, a master in British Cultural Studies, and a bachelor in Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy.
