A Primary School Teacher of over 15 years, in 2016 I left full time education and started Growing Young Minds Tuition Centre, in South London. We now have two successful educational hubs and are proud to support numerous children as they reach their full potential, in a fun and creative learning environment. We are very proud of what we offer, and our Company ethos has two main mottos: • ‘Learning with Laughter’ and • ‘Come to Growing Young Minds - G.Y.M a Workout for the Brain’. My passion has always laid with creative learning and during my time in the classroom using one theme to teach many subjects. During my time as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in School, I oversaw the curriculum which supported Teachers to ensure each subject held equal weight and value as well as also bringing together a creative and linked curriculum. This allowed the children to flourish; learning was no longer segmented into hour slots, but flowed through different subjects, classroom discussion and even out into the playground. Now I want to bring my passion and love of creative learning to your homes. Linking concepts takes time and research, but G.Y.M Home Learning’s themed planning and resources has done most of that for you. Although we have intentionally provided a huge range of activities, we encourage you to follow your child’s individual interests, learning and direction. You can complete our activities in any order and even bring in ideas of your own so that it is tailored to your child.
