Experience

I’m a Learning Specialist and English teacher who helps students strengthen their executive functioning, organization, and study skills. I create clear, practical resources that help students take ownership of their learning. My lessons are tested in real classrooms and designed to save teachers time while supporting students’ independence and confidence.

Teaching style

My teaching style is structured, calm, and compassionate. I believe students thrive when they understand how they learn, not only what they learn. I focus on building executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, and self-advocacy, using clear explanations and practical tools. I bring warmth, humor, and empathy to every lesson while helping students take ownership of their growth and develop real confidence in their abilities.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was honored to receive the District Crystal Apple Award for excellence in teaching while working in the public school system. I’ve presented at SAIS, led professional learning workshops for faculty, and facilitated district-wide sessions focused on executive functioning, student support, and instructional best practices. My favorite accomplishments are still the small, everyday wins, like helping students feel capable, confident, and proud of their progress.

My own education history

I graduated cum laude from Clemson University with a degree in English and earned my Master of Arts in Teaching, magna cum laude, from Clemson. I’ve taught in both public and independent schools and focus on helping students build strong organization, time management, and self-advocacy skills through clear, supportive instruction.
