This ad-lib style template can be used to aid students learning to write a claim/data/warrant essay to defend a theme of a novel. It has sentence starters, paragraph topics, and directions to guide students through their writing. The paragraph starters prompt students to write about how the novel's point of view, character development, and conflict support the theme. There are also prompts to help students develop an effective introduction and conclusion.

This set includes descriptions, instructions, and response forms for 3 group roles in literature circles: discussion leader, question master, and word wizard. The discussion leader asks and records all group members' questions and responses.The question master comes up with questions to discuss with the group. The word wizard chooses quotes from the reading for the group to discuss. The set includes instructions for each group member on how to perform their role, directions for discussions, and

This is a choice board for a brain break activity. When students are getting restless or need to get up and move, one student chooses a movement from this choice board that the whole class does for 30 seconds. The kids love these and ask for 30 second brain breaks all the time. This could be edited/adapted to include different motions.
