I use this activity when I am teaching my second graders about opinion writing, to model a book review. I have intentionally written a negative review to demonstrate for my students that opinions do not always have to be favorable. I want them to see that you can express that you do not like something, but you still have to support your opinion with reasons and evidence from the text.
